Green Week 2018 — Call for partner events

 

The dates are now set for EU Green Week 2018, Europe’s leading environment event. From 21 May to 25 May 2018, EU Green Week will take place in Brussels and across Europe. The theme for this year is Green Cities for a Greener Future

Committee of the Regions presents "European Citizens Travel Card" to EU Tourism Ministers

 

Mr. Hanspeter Wagner, rapporteur on tourism for the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), attended the informal Council of EU Tourism Ministers.

At the meeting in Sofia on 13 February, he called for better coverage of tourism in the EU budget and for a "European Citizens Travel Card".

Digital Single Market: Mid-term review

 

At its Plenary Session of 31 January - 01 February 2018, the European Committee of the Regions adopted an Opinion on the "Digital Single Market: Mid-term review".

The rapporteur for this opinion was Alin-Adrian NICA (RO-EPP), Mayor of Dudeștii Noi.

MEP Tapardel organized an intergroup meeting to gather the EU tourism stakeholder in order to share priorities and in view of preparing a joint agenda for 2018.

NECSTouR presents an Action Plan proposal on the EU Citizens Travel Card at the Committee of the Regions

 

The co-leader of the Smart Destination Working Group, Françoise Guaspare, Île-de-France Europa, was invited to participate to the NAT Commission of the Committee of the Regions last Monday 22 January 2018.

Mrs. Guaspare presented NECSTouR draft proposal for an Action Plan on who a group of NECSTouR pilot regions could implement the initiative launched by the CoR, named “the Eu Citizens Travel Card”
