Tourism integration in Regional Economies by the Region of Valencia

 

The regional strategy of the operational programme using European Funds for Regional Development in the planning period 2014/2020, related to tourism, is based on 3 pillars:

  1. Innovation and competitiveness for the productive ecosystem, with a particular focus on manufacturing industry pillar and relationship between tourism, cities and cultural drivers.
  2. Improvement of competitiveness linked to environmental sustainability and the use of resources.
  3. Enhance the social dimension in the territorial interventions.

The German Community Speaking of Belgium is using ERDF to support employment and to promote destinations and itineraries while the EARDF to attract new investments.

Examples of this use are:

  • Digitalisation of tourism information
  • Complete revision of hiking trails network and signing (system with points of intersection) which is an ongoing project

 

Andalucia's S3

This plan is part of the General Plan for Sustainable Tourism of Andalusia Horizon 2020, co-financed by ERDF & EARDF. Tourism is one of the 8 priorities of the S3 in Andalusia: “Priority 4. Strengthening Andalucía as a tourism destination, culture and leisure.”
