During the preparation of the next regional plan for the development of tourism and leisure in Île-de-France, the Paris Ile-de-France Regional Tourism Committee wanted to join forces with Enlarge Your Paris, Vianney Delourme and Renaud Charles to examine the conditions for the successful development of sustainable bicycle tourism in the destination.
On 4 February 2022 the European Commission unveiled the transition pathway for tourism, the first in a series of transition pathways for EU industrial ecosystems.
On May 2020, the European Commission published an online guide to highlight the wide range of funding programmes financed by the new budget, multiannual financial framework 2021-2027, and Next Generation EU. The goal is to support the move towards a more digital, sustainable and inclusive EU.A second udate followed on February 2022.
The MED S&C Path Model further develop an approach to support the sustainable management of Mediterranean routes and paths. It's built upon previous approaches and outputs, such as the platform developed within MITOMED+ (one of NECSTouR previous project in the Interreg MED programme).
NECSTouR is proud to announce the Civitas DESTINATIONS book titled "Sustainable Mobility for Island Destinations" is currently online as an open-access publication.
The study launched by the European Commission Directorate General for Regional and Urban policy (DG REGIO) was piloted by Spatial Foresight in cooperation with NECSTouR and t33 and AnySolution. The study assesses how different tourist regions are affected by COVID-19 and potential future developments.
