Born on 21st of April 1956 in Antwerp. Degree in social science. During more than 7 years (1980-1988) counsellor to the minister-president of Flemish Government. From 1988 till 2001 working at Visit Flanders first as a member of staff and since 2000 as a director. Tourism and sports counsellor at Flemish Parliament (2001-2004). Since 2004 director tourism policy advisor at the Flanders Department of Foreign Affairs. Since 2015 elected as vice-president of NecsTour (Network of European Regions for a sustainable and competitive tourism). During more than fifteen years member of the board of Flemish Sports Council. Vice-president of Sportimonium, a sports museum recognised as an Olympic Museum by the International Olympic Committee. Representing the Associated Members in the Program and Budget Committee and in the Executive Council of United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and representing Flanders in the Tourism Avisory Committee (TAC) of European Commission (EC). Representing NecsTour in the Steering Committe of the Manifesto Group.
