EPSI and NECSTouR Establish a Strategic Partnership to Enhance Synergies Between Tourism and Sports

NECSTouR President Patrick Torrent and EPSI Executive Director Alberto Bichi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding prior to the EPSI conference in Brussels on the 4-5 of July 2019, with the strong believe that a reinforced collaboration between Tourism and Sports will benefit two sectors which are strategically complementary in the European institutions.


NECSTouR in a New Partnership to Focus on Sustainable Tourism in Europe

Four leading tourism organisations and academic institutions – CELTH (the Center of Expertise Leisure, Tourism & Hospitality), ETC (the European Travel Commission), ETOA (European Tourism Association) and NECSTouR (the Network of European Regions for Sustainable and Competitive Tourism) have agreed to work together on sustainable tourism and best practice sharing to support policy development in destinations across Europe.

2nd UNWTO Tourism Startup Competition 2019


The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has joined Globalia, a leading tourism group in Spain and Latin America, to launch the second edition of the UNWTO Global Tourism Start-up Competition. After the success of the first edition, which attracted 3,000 applications from across the globe, the world’s largest start-up competition for tourism has returned to identify ideas and innovators who will lead the transformation of the sector.

As affiliated member of UNWTO and taking advantage of a MoU signed in 2016 and of the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, NECSTouR had arranged a meeting with the UN World Tourism Organisation last 25th of February to foster opportunities and possible actions in the framework of the Priorities and Initiatives of the both the Organisations.


23rd Session of the UNWTO General Assembly


The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) invites you to the 23rd session of its General Assembly in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.
