Green Week Conference 2014

Circular economy - saving resources, creating jobs

The 2014 edition of Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, took place from 3 to 5 June at The Egg Conference Centre, in Brussels. 

This year the theme was Circular Economy, Resource Efficiency & Waste.

European Tourism Day (ETD) 2013

The European Commission - DG Justice and DG Enterprise and Industry –celebrated on 3 and 4 December 2013 the European Day of Persons with Disabilities and the European Tourism Day 2013 with the Joint Conference on Accessible Tourism in Europe


The aim of this two-fold event was to raise awareness on the right of everybody to have equal access to tourism services and destinations and to present some success stories and best practices in the field.

NECSTouR will participate to the European and International experience workshop at GITANDO.ALL, the only fair in Italy specifically for accessible tourism,organised by Fiera di Vicenza and the Village for All network, that will be back as part of the GITANDO Tourism and Open-Air Holiday Exhibition.



Tourism, Climate Change and Sustainability

The International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research (ICTHR), Bournemouth University, is pleased to announce this important conference with an aim to debate the broader conceptual ideas and contested relationships between climate change, sustainability and tourism as well as to examine worldwide responses and exchange cutting-edge research.

NECSTouR supports the Favourite Destinations Research Network

The holistic approach to sustainability and competitiveness of tourism destinations includes inevitably considering the "customer's voice". Indeed, tourists and visitors are quintessential for tourism destinations. And on the basis of this elementary axiom that without tourists a destination could not even exist, an international network of tourism researchers is carrying out a worldwide survey: worldwide favourite destinations.
