Seminar "Smart Tourism in Smart Cities"


Mrs Cláudia Monteiro de Aguiar MEP, Member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and Mr Paulo Rangel MEP, Vice-Chairman of the EPP, Vice-Chairman of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, EIN Chairman organise a Seminar on: "Smart Tourism in Smart Cities: How new technologies can boost tourism, create value and, at the same time, respect the citizen in the context of “smart city" on the 19th of February at the European Parliament.

Seminar on Sustainable Tourism


The Italian Conference of the Regions for Tourism and Hotels - gathering all the 20 Italian Regional Tourism Authorities and representatives from the National Authorities and Stakeholders - is organising a Seminar on Sustainable Tourism in Ocre (Abruzzo Region) on the 18th of September.

Smart Destinations Kick Off Meeting


NECSTouR Secretary General will present an overview on the future European perspectives for the Smart Tourism Destinations in the medium-term period on the occasion of a specific roundtable at the Smart Destination Project Kick Off Meeting.


LIFE Information Day 2018


The European Commission is organising an Information & Networking Day on the 2018 LIFE call for project proposals.

The event is open to potential applicants presenting project proposals on green technology, nature protection and climate action. Participants will be invited to a morning information session on the 2018 LIFE call, covering significant changes to the programme compared to previous years.

En 2017, les touristes à besoins spécifiques ont été à l’origine de plus de 2 millions de séjours à Paris Île-de-France. Ils ont généré plus de 870 millions d’euros de retombées économiques sur notre territoire. Ces touristes vivent majoritairement en France (57%). Good Practice


The Region of Valencia developed a new model towards an innovative model of beach management.
The aim is to have more sustainable and accessible, safer and better managed services related with the beaches in the Region.

A specific Study on the Smart Beaches in the Region highlighthed the starting weakness and developed a map of Technologies for a Smart Beach including entreprises and services, beach users, new services for visitors, geolocalisation and sustainability.
