The Five Major Priorities that will be part of Horizon Europe Announced by the European Commission

 

Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation Carlos Moedas officially launched the work on five major European research and innovation missions that will be part of Horizon Europe, the next EU research and innovation programme.

Inspired by the Apollo 11 mission to put a man on the moon, the European R&I missions aim to deliver solutions to some of the greatest challenges facing our world:

  1. Cancer
  2. Climate change
  3. Healthy oceans
  4. Climate-neutral cities
  5. Healthy soil and food.

 

NECSTouR Presented at the European Parliament its Amendments with Regards to the New Horizon Europe Draft Proposal

 

NECSTouR, with the support of the European Travel Commission and the Members of the European Tourism Manifesto for Growth and Jobs,  is pleased to share with you our proposal for amendments with regards to the  European Commission Proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on establishing the specific programme implementing Horizon Europe – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

Call: European Incubation Network for Cultural and Creative Industries

 

The main objective of the action is to support the creation, business development and scaling-up of companies in the fashion and the tourism sectors through incubators integrating creative, art and design skills from CCIs (Cultural and Creative Industries) with technology, science and other relevant expertise.

Specific objectives of the action:

Thematic Session on BUILDING REGIONAL TOURISM INVESTMENT PLATFORMS ACROSS EUROPE: HOW EFSI FINANCES TOURISM PROJECTS?

NECSTouR organises a Thematic Session for EU Funds for Tourism Working Group on 'BUILDING REGIONAL TOURISM INVESTMENT PLATFORMS ACROSS EUROPE: HOW EFSI FINANCES TOURISM PROJECTS?'. This event will take place at the NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat Headquarters in Brussels on the 19th of June, between 16:00-18:00 . The aim of the event is to provide NECSTouR Members with an info session on how to make proper use of EU Funds for Tourism Projects.

Informative Meeting on the Interreg MED Project Call for the French Partners

 

The Interreg MED Transnational cooperation will launch in February 2019 a strategic Project call on Sustainable Costal Tourism and Maritime Surveillance. The call will provide 13 million of euros to 4 selected projects.

The French National Authority in cooperation with the "Country" coordinator (CGET) will organise an informative meeting on the Call on the 18th of January 2019 at the Région Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) Headquarters in Marseille.

UNWTO Master Class on “Attracting Chinese Tourism to the Mediterranean Countries”

The UNWTO and the Ministry for Tourism draw upon this phenomenon, and taking into account that 2018 has been designated as the European Union-China Tourism Year, have formulated this Master Class on the belief that the Mediterranean brand comprises a number of distinct attributes which should enable Mediterranean countries and destinations to develop a clear market positioning based on a set of unique selling propositions which are attractive to Chinese tourists.

The EU-China Tourism Year 2018: New investment opportunities for the tourism sector in Bulgaria

The event is aiming to present the recently launched initiative of the European Commission “2018 EU-China Tourism Year” (ECTY) to the Bulgarian tourism stakeholders and business community and to create opportunities for new investment flows in the tourism sector in Bulgaria. The objective is to bring together key stakeholders - institutions in charge, organizations, business representatives, universities, in order to improve the dialogue in the tourism, in view of the objectives set out in the new European strategy for tourism.
