NECSTouR Explores a Possible Cooperation with the German Parliament

Representatives of NECSTouR attended the German Bundestag Reception on the 27th of August in Brussels. The event has been hosted by Mr. Volker Timmermann, Chargé d’affairs of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Belgium

The aim of the event was to discuss about the main tourism priorities for the German Bunderstagand namely Visa, Transport and Internal Market.

NECSTouR Representatives were Mr Jan Korthoudt, NECSTouR Vice President from Flanders Region, Mrs Gudrun Hunold from the German Speaking Community of Belgium and Mrs Sandra de Puig, NECSTouR Coordinator.

It has been a valuable opportunity to bring to all the members of the German Parliament which were attending the event the remarkable work that NECSTouR is implementing in the field of Competitive and Sustainable Tourism, with a focus on Digitalisation (with reference to the "Digital and Safety for Tourism" Initiative, under the S3 platform), Internationalisation and Tourism for More Liveable Regions.

Cooperation with the German Landers. NECSTouR is also aiming into attracting new member Regions from Germany and the reception has been a good opportunity to explore new possibilities in this sense.
