On the 11th of September 2017, NECSTouR has been officially approved as one of the new Associate Members of the World Tourism Organisation of the United Nations (UNWTO) on the occasion of the 39th Meeting of the Plenary of the UNWTO Affiliate Members.
NECSTouR is pleased to become more and more a strategic alliance for UNWTO
As it has been already underlined in its latest Activity Report, the World Tourism Organisation consider our network as a key-stakeholder “to implement joint activities emphasizing and strengthening the role that municipalities and regions play in the development of sustainable and competitive tourism in Europe.”
The 22nd UNWTO General Assembly appointed also Mr Zurab Pololikashvili as Secretary General for 2018-2021.
NECSTouR wishes to the new Secretary General a positive mandate and hopes there will be the possibility on continuing the positive relations it has been already initiated with his predecessor, Mr Taleb Rifai.
