VII° Euromeeting 2009 Regional Policies for Sustainable and Competitive European Tourism

Florence, November 5th-6th,2009

The 7th edition of Euromeeting international conference has been an important opportunity to focus on the state-of-the-art of regional policies for sustainable and competitive European tourism.
Part of the event has been dedicated to the NECSTouR network, the European association of regions, institutions, public and private organizations which belive in the principles of sustainability of tourism.The network was born during Euromeeting 2007, when the partecipants signed the " Florence charter"

Euromeeting 2009 has brought to light in particular the following two subject fields:

  • European structural funds for Regional Development: a tool for supporting and implementing regional policies
  • A new vision for European Tourism: Competitivity, Sustainability, Research and Development
Like the previous editions, experts and representatives of international institutions engaged an open dialogue with the regions and the stakeholder on the selected topical themes and on the most interesting and innovative experiences.
