Andalusia: COVID-19 – Tourism Contigency Plan (Update 27/04)

Junta de Andalucía has created a task force to overcome the crisis appointing experts from different departments: among others Marketing, Communication, Statistics and Big Data, from different organizational structures in the Andalusia Regional Government. This multidisciplinary team continuously analyses the evolution of the pandemic and its effects on the World, Spanish and Andalusian tourism industry. The Regional Government of Andalusia has drawn up a Contingency Plan based on the results of the first estimations on the possible evolution of tourism in the region by 2020, to which 300 million € have been allocated.

Danish West Coast Partnership: COVID-19 and Tourism, the scheme to support SMEs (Update 24/04)

The Danish West Coast partnership gathers 3 DMOS and 10 municipalities along the west coast, receives 10 million tourists per year including Copenhagen, most of those being foreigners - German and Norwegian – thus the tourism sector is strongly hit because of closure of borders.

Andalucía Lab

 

Andalucía Lab is a department of the Public Company Turismo Andaluz, dependent agency of the Regional Goverment of Tourism and Trade, which aims to achieve a more competitive destination, acting on the thousands of businesses that make up the tourism sector.

It works for the small hotel, restaurant, so that the professionals know how to sell online or how to leverage technology solutions in their businesses, in the belief that this transformation, from bottom to top, allows to build a destination whose competitiveness is sustainable in the time.
