The NECSTouR conference has been dedicated to:

• endorsing the network's strategy and governance through the creation of a legal organization.
• illustrating the network's pillars and working axes
• defining more precisely the working axes and methodology  which would allow  reaching the goals set buy the new european agenda for a competitive and sustainable tourism launched by the european commission

The conference had a strong operational dimension in order to facilitate the exchanges through thematic working groups:

• Social and environmental responsibility
• Quality of life of residents
• Widening seasonal concentration
• Active conservation of heritage and identity
• Transport and mobility
