NECSTouR will participate in this event organised by the European Commission's Seville Joint Research Centre (JRC) in collaboration with South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency of Romania, in the framework of the project "Targeted Support to Smart Specialisation in Romania" (2016-2019). The project covers all the eight development regions of the country and aims to ensure a sustainable approach to smart specialisation strategies (S3), working along several action lines, tourism among them.
NECSTouR Vice Presidency, the Region of Andalucía, will showcase the NECSTouR member's experience on targeting tourism as a priority of their regional Smart Specialisation Strategies, and illustrate some examples based on the experience of the Region of Andalucía. It will be also the occasion to highlight the involvement of the region of Andalucía as co-leader of the Smart Specialisation Industrial Modernisation Platform on "Digitalisation and Safety for Tourism".
Also, NECSTouR Academic member, the Lapland University of Applied Sciences co-leader jointly with Andalucía and Slovenia of the “Digitalisation and Safety for Tourism" Platform will provide with an overview on Platform: it's priority actions, state of play and next steps.
